Yes, I forget what type of divorce it is called, but you can put a public notice in a newspaper in their last known town notifying them that you have filed for divorce and the hearing date. If they don't show up, you get a divorce by default. But you need to talk to a lawyer. A lot of time you can get a free 1/2 hour consultation.

If you live in Ireland - I have no idea how it works there.

No. The only way to divorce is legally through the court system.

Yes, but contact a lawyer. There is a waiting period, but it's once you state to a judge that you can not find the spouse the waiting period starts.

That it is ok to raise your child alone, that you will be able to love your child/children just as much alone as you did with two parents in the home.. listen to your children as often as you speak to them...they have something to say! love them even when they try to push you away, they don't mean it! always kiss them good nite and good morning, they are never too old! know to talk with a light tongue and be careful what you say, you cant take it back no matter how hard you try! praise them often. point out the good over the bad. pick your battles. love conquers alot more than you think! Remember live, laugh & love and to thine own self be true...

Staying as friendly as possible with your ex, so your child/ren don't feel they're in a battle zone. You both owe it to them as parents. It's not the child's fault.

Also, remember that no matter how desperate you feel now, life will start to feel better. You have a whole new chapter of your life just waiting to be written. Stay positive!

being by yourself with no support. limited family to help with childcare, crappy paying job and a man who wont pay child support for his kids. otherwise, its great not having to share or have the added stress of a relationship for a lot of people. i felt that way until i met my fiance. he actually takes care of my 1st 2 kids from previous relationship and we now share a child. hes a better father than some of the actual fathers i know. it was very hard to get by without the support but i believe thats how i found the peerfect match, i wasnt looking

WHY? A fundamental bias in the system is that single fathers have absolutely NO PARENTAL RIGHTS to their children, under all possible circumstances. It cost $5000 plus for a single father to get even the simplest and most basic access rights to his children. And even than, over 60% of mothers violate any court orders knowing they are immune from prosecution due to their gender. Last month, Michigan became the very first state n the US to begin addressing court ordered access rights equally to child support, and women's groups are fighting it on the basis it's a violation of the mother's privacy rights, and freedom of speech. The right to a belief that they should choose who has access to their children.
